SNEAKER HISTORY
The Air Jordan 1 KO “Greyscale” is a neutral colorway of the retro basketball shoe that was originally released back in 1986. The Jordan 1 KO was mysteriously released by Nike a year after the Air Jordan 1 debuted in 1985. Its back story is still mostly unknown to this day, which has fueled hype around the shoe in recent years as more sneaker collectors dive into the early history of the Air Jordan line. As for the “Greyscale” colorway, it features a white canvas upper with contrasting Light Grey canvas overlays. A black leather Swoosh is found on the sides. Cream-colored suede is located on the collar, which is overlaid with a white leather ankle flap with an “AJKO” Wings-inspired logo. The Air Jordan 1 KO rides on the same rubber sole found on the Nike Vandal.
